Before you can change the outside of you, you must first change the inside of you. If you are harboring bitter thoughts about your spouse inside…then it’ll show on the outside. If you are punishing yourself for the wrongs you’ve done…then you’ll need to forgive yourself. Then you can work on forgiving your spouse, or ask your spouse for forgiveness.
If you are serious about improving your marriage, then learn to forgive. Both yourself…and your spouse.
How To Improve A Marriage With Joy
Usually when couples are searching how to improve a marriage, the joy has already left the marriage and both of them are miserable. Big mistake. It’s very important to keep the joy alive in the marriage. You can do this by having one night a week where you and your spouse spend time together without interruption. He has constantly study and be a student of his profession. Otherwise his skills will diminish and he’ll get traded or even worse, fired. The same thing happens in marriage.
Take time to invest in a marriage course, buy some books on the topic of how to improve a marriage or go to marriage counseling. It doesn’t matter which of those you choose, any of them will prove beneficial. Just do something. Take that first step in learning how to improve a marriage.
